This has been the year with the most heat waves in the history of Spain

  • From June 13 to 21. It was the longest of the summer and the one that occupied the most regions. It lasted 9 days, affected 30 provinces and a maximum temperature of 37.1 degrees was recorded.
  • From July 12 to 16. It lasted a total of 5 days, and affected 14 provinces. The thermometer reached 41.1 degrees.
  • From July 28 to August 30. It was one of the shortest, lasting three days. It affected 12 provinces and a peak of 37.7 degrees was recorded.
  • From August 2 to 6. In this case, it lasted 5 days, affected 23 provinces and registered a maximum of 37.7 degrees, the same as the previous one, which only gave a respite for a few days.
  • From August 20 to 22. It was the last of the summer and also one of the least spaced in time. It lasted 3 days in which a maximum temperature of 37.4 was reached and affected only 11 provinces.
