Between last night and early Saturday morning, in the town of San Vicente two detainees escaped from the Custody and Transfer Division under Regional Unit VIII.
They are Javier Romero (34) and Juan Antúnez (62), both prosecuted and at the disposal of the head of the Investigating Court Three, Gerardo Casco. The first for qualified robbery and the other for sexual abuse, reported the police sources.
According to the first inquiries, the uniformed officers on duty verified the escape during the early hours of this morning and immediately, after notifying their superiors, search operations were organized that continue to this day.
At this time, various police units carry out deployments to find the two escapees, both on routes, internal streets of the neighborhoods of the town, as well as in the rest of the province.
In parallel, it was learned that the Police Headquarters initiated an internal investigation in order to determine the circumstances and the responsibilities that may fall on the guard personnel.
