United cuts the route from Miami to San Francisco from four direct flights to one from October to the end of the year.
In August, the flight departs at 6:15 p.m. in a Boeing 737 MAX 9 and lands in San Francisco at 9:50 p.m., according to Flightmapper. Depending on the day, there is a morning flight at 8:40 that lands at 11:40 in San Francisco.
As of October 29, the direct flight also departs at 6:15 p.m. from Miami Airport and lands at its destination at 9:50 p.m. Always due to the time difference, the direct flight reaches 6 hours and 30 minutes.
On the other hand, as revealed REPORTUR.mx, United also decided to eliminate 15 flights from Newark airport, the airline’s largest hub on the East Coast. The terminal is located in New Jersey and serves the New York market.
The airline has stated that these schedule cuts that they have had to make at this airport will affect approximately 4% of their customers. They have complied with the Federal Aviation Administration’s request to cut their flights to help with the shortage of air traffic controllers (United cuts 15 flights to Newark for few air traffic controllers).
