The bus strike of the company La Nueva Metropol continues this Wednesday, so that complications continue to travel by bus from La Plata to the City of Buenos Aires.

Faced with this scenario, which greatly complicates the thousands of people from La Plata who use this service to go to the federal capital and who express their anger for the second consecutive day, the only alternative is to use the service of the Misión Buenos Aires company, which collapsed this morning since long lines form at the terminals.

That is why traveling by bus to CABA is once again a real chaos, as EL DIA was able to relieve in a tour. In addition, some choose to go to the 1 and 44 train station, where the number of passengers looking for another way to reach their destination also grew.

Although it emerged in the early hours of today that the Buenos Aires Mission was submitting to the claim that La Nueva Metropol has been carrying out since the beginning of the week, which requests the payment of a million-dollar figure that the State would be owing it in terms of subsidies, this newspaper was able to confirm that the units of that company are leaving normally from the La Plata Terminal.

“You have to be patient,” Matías resignedly told this newspaper, who was waiting for a bus making the long line that formed in the building at 4 and 41.

In the case of La Nueva Metropol, the measure also keeps lines 65, 90, 151, 194 and 195 paralyzed and will gradually reduce services on other new ones “due to lack of resources”, according to what they indicated.

From the company they clarified that it cut operations “after having paid 100% of the March salaries of the more than 4,000 workers and having reached the critical limit of resources. The company explains that the origin of the conflict lies in the “unjustified withdrawal” for 16 months of 15% of income. Said situation, the company explains in depth, “was taken to Justice through a precautionary measure and has a favorable ruling ratified in several instances, which has been disobeyed by the Ministry of Transportation of the Nation, depriving the company of resources that are essential to cover the totality of their demand, as expressly recognized in the judicial rulings”.

The Transport portfolio responded to this that “in the pandemic, companies were supported as if they had transferred the same number of passengers from the pre-pandemic, even if they did not have them, so that the essentials can work. Once that stage ended, the number of passengers decreased in public transport”, from 4.6 million passengers in the metropolitan area to 3.7 million.

According to a source from that portfolio, “Metropol went to court to say that they have to continue charging with the photo from before, something that no other company did.” Then, it was indicated that the case is pending.

In turn, lines 288, 311, 312, 329, 422, 500 and 501, which belong to the company La Perlita de Moreno, have been on strike since dawn due to a robbery of a bus driver.
