Monterrey.- A shooting in the Los Villarreal community, in Salinas Victoria, Nuevo León, left three police officers and two criminals dead.
It was the Secretary of Public Security, Gerardo Palacios Pámanes, who reported through his social networks that in the confrontation two uniformed men from the Civil Force and one from Salinas Victoria lost their lives.
“Upon being surprised, members of organized crime fired at Salinas Victoria police officers. The Civil Force, Ministerial Police, municipal police, GN and the Army, who came in support, were received with 50-caliber bullets. Unfortunately there are casualties among the police officers,” he reported. .
In addition, two criminals were killed.
The confrontation, which was still reportedly active at 4:30 p.m., has led to the mobilization of dozens of uniformed personnel from various corporations, including the State Investigation Agency (AEI) and the Civil Force.
At 3:40 p.m., the circulation of the Highway to Colombia was completely closed due to the risk that exists for motorists, who until now still cannot pass through the road.
Police officers from Escobedo and San Nicolás joined the confrontation.
A Civil Force helicopter joined the confrontation.
The shooting began shortly before 2:30 p.m. at kilometer 39 of the road.
The policemen entered through a dirt road to reach the area of the confrontation.
