Woman attacks busker in Manhattan

Authorities are searching for a woman who attacked a street performer at the Herald Square subway station.

The police were informed that on February 13 before 6 p.m.an artist identified as 29-year-old Iain Forrest, was playing music on the mezzanine of the 34th Street/Herald Square station when an unidentified woman hit him in the head with a metal bottle, causing lacerations.

The woman then fled the station and was last seen heading toward Broadway, between West 34th Street and West 35th Street.

The suspect in the attack has been described as a woman with a slim build and approximately 1.70 m tall.

She was last seen wearing a brown fur coat, a black winter hat, a burgundy scarf and a multicolored cross-body bag.

The police ask for citizen help. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline in Spanish at 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
