A young Cuban identified as Elvis Matos died this Friday in the city of Lansing, Michigan, as a result of a traffic accident.
The young man, who had been reunited with his mother in that American city on October 15 after a long land journey to the border, would have lost control of your vehicle and crashed into another car, according to local reports about the tragedy.
The middle wilx 10 reported that the event occurred this Friday morning, when two cars collided and then one of them crashed into a tree on Cedar Street in Lansing.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene of the incident and determined that speed would have been a determining factor in the fatal outcome. Only the young man died in this event.
The friends and relatives of Matos, who lived in the Reparto Eléctrico de La Habana before emigrating, have mourned his death on social networks, where they confirmed that he was an “incredible” person and “with a big smile.”
Matos had arrived in the United States last October after crossing the border with Mexico on a journey that marked a new chapter in his life. He was a resident of the Eléctrico neighborhood in Havana.
