4th of July spectacle with more than 1,000 drones in Texas sets world record

TEXAS – While fireworks are always popular on the Fourth of July, drones are starting to put a different tone on the holiday.

The July 4th drone show in the city of North Richland Hills, west of Dallas, set a new Guinness World Record for the “largest multi-roto/drones formed aerial prayer.”

Sky Elements Drones partnered with the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce for the unprecedented performance at the Birdville ISD plaza that featured 1,002 drones armed with glowing LED lights.

The intricate drone formations created essential images in American history, such as the Moon landing and patriotic images such as a bald eagle waving the American flag.

Sky Elements Drones said it also broke a company record by producing 40 shows over the holiday weekend using more than 10,000 drones.
