Dornbirn. In just a few days, the Dornbirn Exhibition Center will be the meeting place for all outdoor sports enthusiasts with the 1st Sport Outdoor Festival from May 12th to 14th. The new festival format offers three
Days of opportunity to discover inspiration, exchange ideas and try out a wide variety of activities. From action and test areas, to exciting lectures and the BANFF Mountain Film Festival to products and trends from industry experts, everything is there that makes outdoor sports hearts beat faster.
At the Sport Outdoor Festival you can test to your heart’s content – whether it’s running shoe analysis, a balancing act over the slackline or the VR mountain bike simulator. In the outdoor pool area, SUPs, kayaks, canoes and rafts are waiting to be tried out. Pure excitement awaits all sports enthusiasts at the 1st Ninja Warrior Parcours in Vorarlberg. Dexterity is required on the trail run test track and strong nerves and a steady hand are required in the laser biathlon. All bike fans have the opportunity to test their own skills on the 400 m² bike course and 200 m² pump track.
Motivating & inspiring
Visitors can expect inspiration and information on the stages and from the exhibitors at the Sport Outdoor Festival. Workshops and lectures by industry experts are just as important as the captivating stories of outdoor legends Elmar Sprink and Hans Kammerlander. From the right SUP paddling technique to boat building to optimal running technique and first aid on the mountain or in the water, workshops are held several times a day under professional guidance. In his lecture “Second Heart” on Friday, May 12, Elmar Sprink tells how he managed to realize his dreams through motivation, willpower and the right way to deal with setbacks. Hans Kammerlander takes the audience of the Sport Outdoor Festival on Sunday, May 14th, with his lecture “Extreme Ski” into the white world – to ski tours in his homeland and to unbelievable steep face descents.
Observation tours in the Ried area
If you want to gain an insight into the fascinating natural environment, the nature guides Daniel Nußbaumer and Wolfgang Tatzreit are the right people for you. In an exciting observation tour on Saturday and Sunday in the nearby Ried area, nature can be experienced right on your doorstep. The BANFF Tour stops in the exhibition center
The BANFF Mountain Film Festival showcases the best adventure films from the Banff Center Mountain Film Festival, held annually in November in the Canadian town of Banff. The BANFF Tour comes with a selection of six films on Friday, May 12th at 7.30 p.m. in Dornbirn. Tickets for the BANFF Tour and combined tickets with the Sport Outdoor Festival are available at available.

On Saturday, May 13th at 10.30 a.m., the enthusiastic audience will start the festival day with the Intersport Fischer Morning Run. Anyone who is interested can take part. Intersport Fischer will cover the entry fee including entry ticket for the Sport Outdoor Festival
