Charleroi international midfielder Adem Zorgane gave a long interview to the Belgian media RTBF. He talks in particular about the national team and its ambitions.
Coming from the famous Paradou AC academy, Adem Zorgane, like Ramy Bensebaini, Hicham Boudaoui or Youcef Atal, to name a few, managed to land a professional contract in Europe. Indeed, he went to monetize his talent in the Belgian championship in 2021, by opting for Charleroi.
For his second season in the “Jupiler Pro League”, everything is going well for the young 23-year-old midfielder. Summoned by Djamel Belmadi in 2021, he has 8 selections for the Greens. In a long interview granted for the Belgian media RTBF, the Sétifien talks about his ambitions in selection.
“I want to impose myself within the national team. And for that, I have to work hard tirelessly”. he will say.
Speaking of the national team, Zorgane is convinced that the band in Belmadi is also “capable of achieving a course like Morocco in a World Cup. The Maghreb has good players and quality”. he indicated.
Zorgane would like to play the Champion’s League
The international midfielder talks about his future. He says his ambition is to join a more upscale club from next season. At 23, it’s time to play the European Champions League.
“If I leave this summer? I’m not going to lie to you, that’s the plan: I’ve always dreamed of playing in the Champions League. As a child, I supported Barcelona like everyone else, and today I am aiming for a transfer to France, Spain or England. But I’ll never be the one to say he’s too strong for his team! I have ambition, like any professional player… but if I have to stay another year in Charleroi, there will be no problem. I can still improve there and help the team grow”. he indicated.
“World football has become too statistical (….) It is not my deep nature: selfishness is not in me. On the contrary, I always try to make the best choice for the team: that’s my mentality, I’m not going to change myself and become an egoist. It’s a bit my concern: I’ve always been friends with the players… who played in my place! And even if I’m on the bench, I’m their first supporter. He concluded.
