Cuba: Almost 133,000 Havanans with serious problems with the water supply in the middle of summer

Heavy rains flood the streets of Old Havana in a story that is repeated over and over again and that reveals once again the critical situation of its aging and already inefficient sewage system, with more than a hundred years in operation.

But Havana, once again, not only suffers from flooding in its streets due to a battered sewage system.

Once again, the terrible water supply is also aggravated there. Today some 133,000 Havanans are affected by the supply.

There are 64 thousand in Cerro, Centro Habana, Old Havana, Plaza and Diez de Octubre. Another 46 thousand in La Lisa, Playa and Marianao.

The regime recognizes that it is due to the critical state of the equipment that supplies water to the capital, with more than two decades of use.

Due to the floods and the chaotic situation with the water supply, Havana once again shows the failure of another of the regime’s promises: garbage continues to clog many of the streets of the capital, due to the ineffectiveness of the Cuban authorities.

The eternal crisis with the garbage collection of the last six decades of communist dictatorship in Cuba For the umpteenth time, he reached the handcuffed official press, now in Havana, Matanzas and Bayamo.

But these reports are worth little. The regime will make the case that suits them. It has been more than demonstrated that there is no answer to the ills that Cubans suffer.
