The brothers Ismael and Fernando Hevia are the third generation of the emblematic Hevia restaurant. A lifelong classic located at number one hundred and eighteen of Serrano street, which continues to offer us a seductive quality gastronomic proposal since it opened its doors in 1964. A fundamental meeting point in the Salamanca neighborhood, starring for the quality of the exemplary product and service.
Hardworking, ambitious and passionate, the Hevia brothers continue to expand the family business, first with the stall they opened a year ago in the Antón Martín market in Madrid, and since last January, with Bar H Emblemático on Calle Castelló. Pleasant and welcoming spaces in which they make us participants in the philosophy of their origins.
With emblematic Bar H, the Hevia brothers have wanted to render a nice tribute to the bars of a lifetime. A proposal starring the bar, the portions and the fine tapas, in a beautiful and bright place in the heart of the Salamanca district.

In the emblematic Bar H menu we find a wide variety of classic rations and skewers, which share the limelight with the restaurant’s most iconic and forceful dishes. In this new project you can collect moments and savor its delicious bites at any time, since it opens with uninterrupted hours. A versatile space, which evolves throughout the day from breakfasts, appetizers and lunches, to pleasant dinners or night snacks.
On our first visit to Bar H Emblemático we began by sharing a delicious hummus appetizerwho led us to his famous bravas “II”. Original, tasty and round, they led us to the exotic avocado seasoned with a slightly spicy touch, which captivated us from the first bite.
The garlic prawn starry is a sublime version of scrambled eggs with fried potatoes and garlic prawns with a successful touch of chilli that conquers the senses. A dish that is ideal for sharing and that undoubtedly invites you to herd conscientiously.
We couldn’t avoid the temptation to try its fun rice of the gentleman with prawns and aioli. Finite, delicate and full of flavor, it led us to the sweet moment of dessert, which took the form of a curious Borchi version of rice pudding that we recommend trying.
