The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, announced the opening of 5,310 new positions to recruit class “B” assistant professors, when answering oral questions from deputies of the National Assembly.
This is the number of positions made available the highest in the sector in the last decade. The Minister also spoke about the studies necessary to obtain a master’s degree or its equivalent for holders of a higher technical diploma in the health sector.

He said that students can continue their training in higher paramedical training establishments affiliated with the Ministry of Healthsince this ministry exercises pedagogical supervision over them since the 2012-2013 academic year.
Annexes of Swiss and Norwegian universities in Algeria?
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research had met the ambassadors of Switzerland and Norway in Algiers to discuss the possibility of twinning between Algerian universities and those of the two countries.

They also mentioned the possible opening ofannexes of Swiss and Norwegian higher education institutions in Algeria.
This meeting with the ambassadors of the two countries aimed to intensify cooperation and exchanges between Algerian and Norwegian universities. This initiative aims to raise the Algerian university to the international level.
