The longtime ORF journalist Klaus Peter Keintzel died at the age of 71. Keintzel was responsible for broadcasting several formats. Born in Vorarlberg, he also reformed the ORF parliamentary program “Hohes Haus” together with Helmut Pfitzner.

Keintzel was born in Dornbirn in 1952 and started in 1977 in the domestic department of ZIB2. He began his career at the ZIB as an editor for domestic affairs. In 1990 he became editor-in-chief of the Burgenland regional studio. He then moved back to the Küniglberg as head of the domestic policy department at the ZIB. Keintzel was from 1994 to 1999 deputy program manager of ZIB2, from 1999 to 2001 deputy program manager of the political talk “Betreff” and later program manager of ZIB Flash and ZIB20.
