Hundreds of self-convened Venezuelan exiles gathered this Sunday in the Retiro neighborhood of Buenos Aires to protest against the probable visit of the president of their country, Nicolás Maduro, to Buenos Aires within the framework of the summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). which will take place from Tuesday.

“Never again dictators”, was the slogan of the mobilization, coinciding with the hashtag that different sectors of Together for Change had used in the communiqués they disseminated to reject the invitation that President Alberto Fernández extended to Maduro and other leftist leaders such as Miguel Díaz Canel (Cuba) and Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua).

In the demonstration that took place in the Plaza Fuerza Aérea Argentina in front of the Torre de los Ingleses and the Sheraton de Retiro hotel, the head of the PRO, Patricia Bullrich, was present, who took the megaphone and again asked that Maduro be arrested as soon as he stepped on Argentine soil.

Bullrich had requested through Twitter that the Venezuelan head of state be arrested for crimes against humanity

“I am absolutely convinced that the requests we have made against Nicolás Maduro, who at the judicial level went to ask the courts for an arrest, an investigation so that the case that is already in the International Criminal Court has all the testimonies and that cause progress,” said the former Minister of Security.

Patricia Bullrich’s request about Maduro

Days ago, Bullrich had requested via Twitter that the Venezuelan head of state “immediately arrested for having committed crimes against humanity, as happened with Pinochet in London in 1998.”

Despite the criticism and complaints for alleged human rights violations in Venezuela, Alberto Fernández confirmed this Sunday that Maduro “is more than invited” to the country to participate in the CELAC summit in Buenos Aires.
