The president of Gymnastics, Mariano Cowen and Sebastián “Chirola” Romero, give a press conference where the former Lobo player is formally introduced as the new DT, after his performance in 2022 in reserve.
The appointment was given after the departure of Néstor “Pipo” Gorosito, who after an economic arrangement with the leadership, decided to step aside.
In one of his first statements, “Chirola” expressed: “I did not expect it. We were doing a very good job in Reserve and given the situation of Pipo (by Gorosito), Mariano (by Cowen) told me the situation and it was difficult to say not”.
Along the same lines, he remarked: “I am very confident in the group we have, we are going to be a competitive team and we started this pre-season very well. Our goal is to instill work and love for the club.”
In turn, Romero was quick to express his happiness at the moment he is experiencing and was honest: “The reality is that I did not have a minute to sit down and talk to my old man and my old woman. I am very happy. But we need to work a lot. We spoke on the phone and the truth is that they are very happy.”
In a message for Lobo fans, “Chirola” stated: “There is a lot of desire and we want to make them happy. We need to work so that on Sunday when they go to see the team, they are represented by the team. We have the obligation to deliver everything”.
Regarding the teaching of Carlos “Timoteo” Griguol, he recalled: “The nobility he had. He was a very close guy. He met all the conditions that a coach had to have. I hope he has a little of what he was. To have had it It helps me a lot because in different situations it helps me solve things”.
As a last reflection, the former tripero midfielder launched: “It is a moment where we all have to be united and I have great faith that we are going to do it all together, I have no doubt”
