OUR Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has opened up about life in the spotlight, admitting it’s ‘never easy’ and comes with ‘challenges’.

The admission comes after she split from husband Clive earlier last year after 22 years of marriage.

In a new interview with the Mirror, Amanda was asked if life is easier now that her nine children are growing up.

She said: “It’s never easy, they are different challenges. But I have to admit that I enjoy being part of their journey as they grow up and watching them develop.

“Raven is in college doing a masters now, Reuben is working freelance and loving it, Miles has left school and is working from home. It attracts new people and keeps you on your toes. I hope it will keep me young.

And when it comes to laying bare the trials and tribulations of her personal life, it’s not by plane.

She continued, “Life has its challenges, whether in media country or on the farm. You have to adapt and change over time, right? »

Amanda has had a roller coaster ride in 2022, to say the least, with many ups, as well as downs.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess shared the sad news of her marriage breakdown with her 517,000 followers on Instagram.

A statement from the couple read: “Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways.

“It hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for our family’s future.

“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with the happiness and well-being of our children as our number one priority.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support and ask the media to please respect our privacy as we go through this difficult time.”

And then, when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, Channel 5 producers confirmed their hit show Our Yorkshire Farm had been axed for good – leaving fans devastated once again.

Making the announcement at the time, Daniel Pearl, Factual Editor at Channel 5, explained: ‘The Owens have become everyone’s favorite farming family and millions have enjoyed watching their fashion. single life.

Then, in June of this year, Amanda’s parenting style came under fire and social services got in touch.

“I don’t see myself as a perfect parent,” she said. “I got a yellow flag from social services…I believe there is a middle ground where you let kids climb trees.”
