Air Europa offers cheap flights with restricted baggage to various destinations in the USA and Latin America between October and December, excluding the Constitutional Bridge, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
To enjoy the discount, each passenger must carry a maximum of 10 kilos of suitcase and a handbag in the cabin.
The offers, all roundtrip and in economy class, depart from Madrid to New York (458 euros), Miami (509 euros), Havana (546 euros), Punta Cana (598 euros), Caracas (738 euros), Lima (767 euros) and Buenos Aires (1057 euros).
as revealed REPORTUR.usIberia has seen its share of the transatlantic market between Madrid and America reduce in the last four years, remaining at 41.9%, after a drop of 1.5%, while Air Europa, in contrast, has seen it increase by 2.4 % between the first half of 2019 and 2023, where it reached 22.9%, according to Aena data.
All in all, the two companies are the undisputed leaders in the Atlantic corridor at the Madrid airport despite the entry of new operators seeking to gain a foothold in this market (Iberia loses share to America while Air Europa gains it).
