Four new episodes of gender violence have been reported in the last hours in different sectors of the Region, demonstrating that, despite the prevention measures that have been adopted at the government level to eradicate it, this social scourge continues to be entrenched in the population.

All these situations take place less than a week after the crime of a woman in Lisandro Olmos. For this fact, the one who was her partner is in custody, who argued that he beat her to death out of “jealousy.”

In this framework, a large number of specialists do not hesitate to classify this reality as a pandemic. This diagnosis remains in tune with what both the investigative prosecutor units (UFI) and the prosecutor’s office specialized in gender violence have been slipping about the “overwhelming” number of complaints for this type of crime that they receive daily.

In the last hours, 4 episodes were recorded, which ended with detainees and victims assisted for various injuries.

One of the incidents that came to swell the extensive list of violent episodes that occurred in the Region, took place yesterday afternoon in a sector of San Carlos.

The area of ​​526, between 145 and 146 was convulsed by a situation of gender violence that began in a home and ended up moving onto public roads.

According to police sources indicated to this newspaper, a 36-year-old subject is being detained for the fact who is accused of insulting and threatening to kill his concubine with a knife.

The case was dealt with by members of the La Unión sub-station who, upon arriving at the aforementioned site, met a woman who was immersed in a nervous breakdown who explained that the attacker was inside her house.

Within this framework, the young woman was assisted by specialized personnel and the subject was made available to Justice in a case that was classified as “aggravated threats in the context of gender violence.”

Villa Elvira was also the epicenter of another case that caused stupor among the residents. A 23-year-old subject was apprehended yesterday after her now ex-partner denounced him for having subjected her to an insane beating that left her with a prominent swelling and bruise on her left eye after an argument.

The fact, according to the report to which this newspaper had access, happened in 602 and 120 bis. A patrol car must have gone to that place after a 32-year-old woman reported to 911 that she had been beaten by her husband.

The uniformed men managed to enter the house and the subject turned himself in without offering resistance. He was formalized for injuries in the context of gender violence.

Meanwhile, in Ensenada, a 25-year-old individual who was subject to a restraining order to a home issued in the context of a case of gender violence, was arrested for violating that measure upon being found by the police inside. of his ex-partner’s house, which he entered by force. The situation took place at 43, between 124 and 125, El Dique.

Finally, at 122 and 526, a woman was rescued by the police when she was subjected to a physical attack. According to the victim, a 34-year-old girl, her partner, a year younger than her, punched her in her arms after a sentimental discussion.

The individual was handcuffed at his home and taken to the First Ensenada police station where he was formalized for “minor injuries.”
