A tractor-trailer overturned on the ramp from Interstate 495 south to Route 44 in Middleborough, Massachusetts, Monday afternoon, causing traffic delays.
The accident occurred between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm, and the entrance and exit ramp at the interchange of southbound I-495 and Route 44 are currently closed to traffic. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation urges motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
Aerial imagery showed that the load the truck was carrying completely covered one lane of the ramp, with the truck sideways in the other lane.
It is not known if anyone was injured.
Drivers traveling through the affected area are advised to expect delays and to exercise caution and reduce speed.
